Two Bible verses that I find challenging are Phil. 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” And 2 Cor. 10:5b “…and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

This world’s circumstances can encourage thoughts of doubt and fear. These thoughts hold us back from following the leading of the Holy Spirit. They rob our joy. They keep us focused on ourselves, rather than the call of Jesus, to love others. I find it requires deliberate, intentional effort for me to choose to think and adopt the “mind (attitudes) of Christ”.

My experience is the verses I find most challenging are the ones that lead me to the greater joy and advancement of his Kingdom, both within me, and in the world around me. Proverbs 23:7a “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”

As I think about the future of RFC, I am excited! Each Sunday we enjoy the presence of God and the fellowship of people who love one another. There are others in our communities that need what we have. Let’s think on God’s promises, which produce faith and Holy Spirit power for joyous living.
