Katie was a faithful RFC attendee for several years during the winter months. She graduated to her Heavenly Home Wednesday evening, October 22. Services will be held in her home town in Michigan. Prayers for her family would be appreciated.

Betty has a wonderful praise report concerning her husband, Joe, who had a "baseball-size tumor" removed from his colon a few weeks ago. The tumor was "full of cancer," Betty reports. The surgeon said that "the cancer stayed within that tumor! He said he couldn’t believe that it didn’t spread through the lymph nodes, or other organs as big as the tumor was! Joe responded, 'Our Lord had His hands upon it so it wouldn’t spread!' The doctor told him that we had faith knowing it was cancer and yet we still believed that it wasn’t going anywhere! I told him we were Christians and we believe in God for all our needs! He replied, 'I wish my other patients would believe that and not dwell on the cancer!' We told him thank you for being the surgeon but Jesus was directing his hands! He said He definitely was! We also told him that we had a lot of prayer warriors praying! He said continue what you folks are doing and be blessed! We left with our hearts full of praise unto the Lord!" We certainly join Joe and Betty in praising the Lord!!

Arrangements for our dear friend, Clarissa, are: Viewing at Cannon Funeral Home (317 West Memorial Blvd., Lakeland) on Thursday, October 22, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Graveside service is at Oakhill Cemetery (4620 U.S. Hwy. 98, South) on Friday, October 23, at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend.

Sandy sends us this update on her health: All tests and x-rays showed double pneumonia. She also had a very low oxygen level which is a little better at this time. She is confined to bed for eight days and will be rechecked at that time. She said this has been a very difficult time for her and thanks everyone for their prayers

Pastor Kirby's sister, Diane, has been diagnosed with “invasive ductal carcinoma.” She is still waiting on an appointment with the oncologist and would appreciate our continued prayers.

Lois, the friend of Carol Wilson's sister-in-law, has started the third of six weeks of chemotherapy. She's tolerating it pretty well, but continues to need our prayers.

Matt continues to suffer with kidney stones and needs our continued prayers.

Ruth Rexroad's and Lynne Roberts' friend, Sheila, passed away today (Monday). Please pray for Sheila's family, as well as Ruth and Lynne.

Clarissa, our precious prayer warrior and sweet friend of RFC, graduated to Heaven Sunday morning at 6:20. We will miss her here, but we will see her in Heaven and we will find her praising her Lord and Savior! Please pray for her family in the coming days of adjustment.
